Since completing his degree, he has exhibited his work widely throughout Ireland, with regular solo exhibitions in Dublin and Cork, and his work is represented in the collection of the Cork Opera House, and many private collections in Ireland. His work is also in private collections abroad, in countries such as England, Scotland, Norway, Holland, Thailand and Portugal.Since 2005, the artist has been living and working between Dublin, Viterbo in Italy and also Coimbra in Portugal.

Dermot is currently looking for funding from parties interested in ecological issues for art-projects/research during his residency at the centre for functional ecology in Coimbra: http://www1.ci.uc.pt/ecology/index.php?menu=21&tabela=noticias&language=eng

Also seeking partnership/funding from individuals or companies interested in environmental issues and corporate social social responsibility,(c.s.r), for the establishment of a web-site of artist's works which will be in support of the group avaaz: http://www.avaaz.org
