 Atelier de composition Acanthes 2005 (Metz) with Pascal Dusapin and Wolfgang Rihm. His composition has been performed by Arditti string quartet (17 July).
2004Masterclass with Salvatore Sciarrino (Rome-Thessaloniki).
2003Graduated in composition at the conservatory S.Cecilia in Rome with maximum credits and distinction and the prize of the best diploma of the year.

Prizes

  • 1st prize at Musica Europa international competition with Rifrazioni lontane for chamber orchestra.
  • Three of his piano compositions (published by Bèrben) were selected as obligatory works for The 10 th Piano Competition Pietro Squartini (1998).
  • Octobre 2003 : Marcello Intendente Prize awared by A.R.A.M. foundation under proposion of the director of the conservatory Santa Cecilia of Rome as best diplome of year.

Daniele Bravi has recently received a commission by the ensemble Vortex to compose a new work that they will perform in Geneva on June 2007.


Performances

Bravi's music is based on an accurate research of tone colours which he achieves by using classical instruments and on the manipulation of the concept of time : the extremely conscious use of the sound material enables him to control impressions of the flow of time.

It has been performed by remarkable instrumentalists such as the

  • Arditti string quartet,
  • the Algoritmo ensemble conducted by Marco Angius,
  • the World Youth Chamber Orchestra (W.Y.C.O),
  • the New Flora Ensemble of Strasbourg,
  • the clarinettists Guido Arbonelli, Roberta Gottardi, Jean-François Charles and the flautist Mario Caroli.
and has been performed at several festivals:
